What is Bextree?

Who is Bextree actually for?

Two kinds of people: sellers who have tokens locked or vesting for months and want liquidity today instead of waiting, and buyers who want to acquire a position for less than its unlocked value and are comfortable holding until it unlocks. You don't need to be a developer or a trading expert — you need a Solana wallet and an opinion on whether a given discount is worth it.

Do I need an account?

Accepted Answer

No — there are no accounts, emails, or passwords. Your wallet is your identity. The first time you place a signed bid or list an asset, Bextree automatically creates a lightweight public profile for your wallet with an auto-generated username (something like "SilentOak247"), which you can optionally add a bio, location, or handle to later. There's no way to make a profile private — it's a simple identity layer, not a social feed.

Why would I buy on Bextree instead of just buying the token?

Because you're paying less than the position is worth. You bid on the right to receive an asset that's currently locked, so the price reflects a discount for the wait. If the discount is wider than you're comfortable with the wait and risk, that gap is your upside once the position unlocks.

How do I start bidding?

Accepted Answer

Connect a Solana wallet, browse live auctions, and place a bid. Bidding is free — no funds are taken or locked when you bid, only if and when you win. Your wallet does need to hold enough USDC to cover the bid for it to be accepted, since Bextree checks your balance at bid time, but nothing moves out of your wallet until you actually win.

Is there an anti-sniping window or auction extension?

No. Auctions end at a fixed time, bidding is live right up to the last second, and last-second bids are allowed — there's no extension window that pushes the end time back.

What happens when I win an auction?

Accepted Answer

You fund your winning bid into escrow in USDC. From there, one of two things happens: for LP positions, the asset is already sitting in an on-chain vault, so it transfers to you automatically. For Streamflow or Jupiter Lock vesting positions, the seller has a settlement window to transfer the position to you.

If I buy an LP position, what exactly do I get?

The whole position — not just the fees it's earned. An LP position is a claim on the underlying tokens you originally deposited (the principal) plus whatever trading fees it has accrued since. When you win an LP auction, that entire position — principal and accrued fees together — transfers to you. You're not buying a fees-only claim; you're buying the position itself.

What if the seller doesn't deliver?

You get a full, automatic refund of your escrowed payment — no dispute process, no support ticket needed. The seller's settlement bond is also forfeited, and it's split 70% to Bextree, 30% to you— paid on top of your refund, as compensation for the trade that didn't happen.

Is my asset guaranteed once I win?

For LP positions, yes — the asset is already locked in an on-chain vault before the auction even starts, so there's no seller-failure risk. For Streamflow or Jupiter Lock positions, delivery depends on the seller completing the transfer during the settlement window — but you're financially protected either way: if they don't deliver, you're refunded in full and their bond is forfeited.

Can I save or watch a listing?

Yes — you can star a listing to save it, or watch one to get notified about it, both directly from the listing card or the auction page. Neither requires a wallet signature, since they only affect what you see, not any funds or settlement state.

Why should I sell on Bextree instead of just waiting for my tokens to unlock?

Accepted Answer

Because waiting has a cost too — time, opportunity, and price risk between now and the unlock date. Bextree lets you convert a locked position into cash today, at whatever price the auction settles at, instead of being stuck until the unlock clock runs out.

How do I list an asset for sale?

Connect your wallet and go to /list. The wizard walks you through choosing the asset, verifying ownership, setting your reserve price and auction length (anywhere from 6 hours to 7 days), posting a settlement bond if required, and publishing the listing.

What's a settlement bond?

A refundable deposit — 5% of the reserve price — that sellers of Streamflow or Jupiter Lock positions post before their auction can go live. LP sellers don't need one, because their asset is already vaulted with Bextree before bidding starts. The bond is refunded once the seller delivers, and forfeited (70% to Bextree, 30% to the buyer) if they don't.

What fees does Bextree charge?

Bextree only charges a fee when a sale actually goes through — never on bids, and never on a listing that doesn't sell. The standard fee is a flat 3% of the final sale price, the same rate across LP, Streamflow, and Jupiter Lock positions alike. During the current public beta, that rate is discounted to 1.5% — and a listing keeps whatever rate was in effect when it was created, even if the standard rate changes later.
